You know it’s summer and it’s hot in Texas. I play tennis frequently but not very excelling ‘cuz the sun keeps getting in my eyes. How to avoid that? Please don’t tell me 2 wear sunglasses because I saw a lot of people without sunglasses and play well.
How?
I wear a cap and the sun still gets in the eyes

Let your eyes adjust a little before you start playing. Keep your eye on the ball so you don’t look at the sun too much. Also stay hydrated.

Question by ANNAMALAI C: Where can you get the Sunglasses that Ivo Karlovic wore while he played Federer in Wimbleton?
Can you please tell me about the sunlasses that he wore(brand name, price, where to get them)?

and can you also tell me some good sunglasses to play tennis with?

Best answer:

Answer by Todd
I have only seen him play with them once so it is almost impossible to tell. I found a picture of them here:

http://www.wimbledon.org/en_GB/news/photos/2009-07-01/200907011246455438911.html

Sorry I can’t do much better than that.
As far as where to get them/price check out these retailers’ listings:

http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/catthumbs.html?CREF=571

http://www.midwestsports.com/sunglasses-/c/60001/

Both are reputable and only deal with tennis, so any product they offer would be good to play with.

I’m going to be working a ski season, I need sunglasses for skiing but also tennis next summer, thinking radar?

Question by Gfr G: I’m going to be working a ski season, I need sunglasses for skiing but also tennis next summer, thinking radar?
ideally would also like to wear them casually as well

Best answer:

Answer by Common
Are you a guy? If you are, try the new Spy HSX or Logans (www.spyoptics.com). They’re both chunky enough to help protect your eyes from wind on the slopes, cool enough to wear around casually, and you should also be able to wear them for tennis.

If you’re a girl, I like the Spy Abbeys. My wife just got a pair and loves them.

Q&A: Why don’t professional tennis players wear sunglasses?

Question by Smartypantz: Why don’t professional tennis players wear sunglasses?

Best answer:

Answer by Zeezrom
I know that some do. I just saw one in the US open wearing sunglasses yesterday. I suspect the biggest reason is the same reason you don’t see any wear prescription glasses. You just really don’t want to risk them falling off in the middle of a crucial point.

Q&A: can tennis players wear sunglasses in tennis tournaments ie wimbledon aussie open etc?

Question by Stephen C: can tennis players wear sunglasses in tennis tournaments ie wimbledon aussie open etc?

Best answer:

Answer by bevislove
no, because the other player would be distracted with the glare from the glasses, that’s why they don’t let them wear shinny jewelery either. and plus you concentrate better without sunglasses when you play tennis.
