Question by bluish_blueblack: Does wearing sunglasses when driving in heavy rain help increase visibility?
I don’t know if this is a myth. A Malaysian policeman told a friend recently that wearing sunglasses in a heavy downpour makes it perfectly visible as if there were no rain.

What do you think? Answer below!

No way…at least not in my experience.
It does for me… I have super sensitive eyes, so it helps with glare.
if they are a good pair they do.i know from experience.i use oakley sunglasses only.even if it is raining there is still a glare.
For driving in cloudy, rainy dreary days there are glasses with yellow tinted lens that make it easier to see. This was told to me by a Police Officer who learned it in the Police Academy. I have some and they work wonderfully.
If they are yellow, but they do affect depth perception a little.
This type of qus makes me sick.
I m not blaming u but that police man needs to pay a visit mental hospital.
Glasses can help u in the rain if u use convertibles.
But it ill never increase ur visibiliity if ur not cyclops(eg.xman)
a little exaggeration mixed with mostly fact…
the sunglasses keep the light glare out of your eyes…
It does help to a certain degree, after all sunglasses will ease the distraction of raindrops hitting your eyes during rain. Glare is not much an issue during a rainy day. However you will have to clear up your lens from time to time since water will build up on the lens, and visibility will be reduced. Still, out of experience, It helps.
Especially at night! (I’m kidding).
I’ve heard it does reduce glare on those “sunny/rainy” days.
hes weird try it urself its not a good plan it makes everything to dark
