Say you are out for the day, wearing your prescription sunglasses to drive, and stay out longer than you planned. Now it’s dark out and you need your glasses to drive legally. But you didn’t remember to bring your regular glasses, because you didn’t expect to be out so long.
So should you drive without your glasses – or wear your prescription sunglasses?

I love my blublocker sunglasses, really I do; they make driving in the hills and on the freeways an absolute joy. But when I drive in the cities I have to put them aside and don my trust raybans. Why? Because I’m red and green colour-blind, that’s why! The blocked-out blue makes it harder to see the green traffic lights (although I have no problem seeing the red lights!)

Is there a color that’s good for driving at night that will reduce glare and improve your vision? I’m thinking amber, but I’m not too sure.

Answer by Richard M Amber would be best however you may just need clear polarized lenses. That will cut glare without dimming the illumination. Consider that first and speak to an optometrist or ophthalmologist first.
You may also check with your local driver testing sites and see if there may be any restrictions about sunglasses while driving at night. You just never know!

A friend does that but I don’t know why. He says it’s the new style to stay fly. I think it is sort of dangerous though.
