My brother has been asking for a pair of Von Zipper sunglasses since he graduated college in May. I work in a surf shop and I just got a giftcard for working Thanksgiving day, I don’t want to spend it on me though. I was thinking of buying him the sunglasses he really wants even though now he told me it doesn’t matter what I get him. He is just always good to me on Christmas and I would feel bad if I used the giftcard on me. Should I get him the glasses or just buy him clothes like I always do?
Actually the glasses aren’t that expensive, and for me I don’t care about the price because it is my brother.

So I was thinking of buying some Oakley Half Jacket Sunglasses for running. Are these good for running (I mainly do sprinting and distance.) Also, should I buy the Silver/Ice Iridium ones or the Jet Black/G30. Which would be best?

Are you running track or Cross Country? Half Jackets are good. The unobtanium on the ear stems will keep the glasses from sliding around on your head. They get stickier when they get wet.

As for lens choices, if you run Cross Country or across uneven ground, the G30 lens (more for golf) will enhance contours in the ground (hence for the use for golf) that can help you with picking a good running line.

However, if you do mostly track/flat running, the Ice lenses will work well.

I would also consider the Flak Jacket. The Flak Jacket is the newer version of the Half Jacket and has more lens options and more unobtanium for better grip.

The SPLIT JACKET is going to be introduced soon so if you can wait a few weeks, these will be available on the Oakley.com website. Split Jackets are like the JawBone glasses that Lance Armstrong wears where the bottom of the lens comes off and a new lens can be swapped in its place in a matter of seconds. Very cool since you can swap out for different light conditions.

Question by CDH: What sunglasses should I get for baseball for under 0? Should they be polarized or not?
I play highschool baseball, mainly catcher and outfield. On mid-day games the sun can really make it hard to catch a pop-fly. I used to have a pair of Under Armour Zone sunglasses that I liked, but they weren’t polarized. So, what pair of sunglasses is the best for my situation, and should they be polarized or not? I once heard that polarized lenses can do funny things to your vision when you move your head, so I don’t really know what I should get.

if money is no option oakley’s are fantastic, and they do come in a set,
otherwise if u can find them easton make fairly decent baseball sunglasses

Question by Viva L: if you need prescription sunglasses for driving, should you get regular ones for just walking around?
I finally got prescription sunglasses, which i need for distance, driving etc. But if I’m outside reading or just walking around shopping or something, should I get normal ones so I don’t use the prescription when it isn’t needed?

The ones that cover your eyes and keep the sun from getting in your eyes are usually helpful for all types of sunny atmosphere. Maybe Target. Ones that fit your head.
