Let your eyes adjust a little before you start playing. Keep your eye on the ball so you don’t look at the sun too much. Also stay hydrated.
What do you think? Answer below!

a cap will do it. specially when u serve
Just deal with it? That’s what I’ve always done. I don’t like the limited visibility that hats give you. And I got contacts in order to stay away from wearing glasses while playing tennis, so I’m not gonna get a pair of sunglasses. That’s backwards. By the way, it really sucks when you get sweat dripping down the lenses of glasses while playing. By that point, your shirt is probably also soaked through, so you have nothing to clean them off with.
So yeah. The sun really only becomes an issue on serves and overheads anyhow. And that’s still just on one side of the court. But I understand your pain. It’s awful to lose the ball in the sun on your serve toss. But you get used to it, and have to start going more by feel. That’s why consistency is so important. If your toss height, timing, and placement is consistent, you’ll still be able to hit good serves.
Well i live in texas and have this problem to, i just let my eyes adjust to the light before i play.
The only time i really have a problem with the sun is when your serving or trying to smash.
To overcome that, I toss the ball forward when i served instead of straight up that way it never really bothers me.
But, realistically I can just time my serve to know when to swing but that’s pretty troublesome.
When you toss the ball, try to toss it more in front of you, so the sun is not in your eyes. It will still be in your eyes, but not as much. Also, use your other hand to block the sun. After you toss, instead of putting your hand straight up, put it in front of the sun
